I'm testing this seat pad now. So far it been great on the butt and helps keep me away from the tank. The material is high-density closed cell foam. I have it attached to the helmet hooks under the passenger seat. Flat steal eyehooks(tent gear) are glued to interior of foam. It’s easy to flip on or flip off when riding .In addition I also installed the Big Mak Saddlejacks;they help allot

This pad works great
for those times
when you wish you could
change your seat when riding.
The Seat pad can also be
used by your passenger.

I have been testing a few types of pads, all are 1" thick. Recently I road a bun burner(IBA) with a good combo (2 pads). The lower seat was made of white foam, medium density. I covered the pad with polar-fleece. The other pad was the one above. This one I covered with wool-fleece. The combo lets you have lets you have 3 different seat choices. The original, soft pad, and 2 pad high. The latter lets you ride high, great for the legs. Wind over the screen is another issue.

I tied down my waterproof bag on the passenger seat and flipped the pads next to bag to use it as a backrest. Use car interior adhesives to glue fabric. Protect everything from this stuff! Wrap the pad with the polar fleece, like you would warp a package. Cover only the bottom of seat edges with the fabric. This will let the rubber grip the original seat and prevent sliding.
The hooks are used for tent tie down line as come- a -longs. The part looks like a flat "8". I just made a pad for my brother and did not use the hooks. Cut a 1/4" slit into the foam about 1" deep. Insert the line. Put the crazy glue nozzle into the slit with the cord and glue. In 5 min. the jobs complete. Hook cord loops on helmet hooks under passenger seat, Give cord a little slack; this will let you position the pad.
